Directions

We are located at 31/33C New Bridge Road, Singapore 059393/059394 (Level 4, right above Yoga Movement; or right opposite the restaurant SAFRA @ 29 Carpenter).

  • By Train: Clarke Quay station Exit E (5mins walk). We are just across the road/overhead bridge from Central shopping mall.

Studio Facilities

  • We have storage shelves for your belongings, and restrooms and shower facility. The studio will not be held responsible for any loss of valuables.
  • Mineral water and drinks are available for sale at the reception.

Class Preparations

  • Pole Classes: You should wear a comfortable top/sports bra and a pair of shorts above the knees/hot pants for pole classes (pole heels or bare feet depending on the class that you will be taking).
  • Aerial and Flexibility classes: Normal workout attire, leggings for aerial hoop/silks.
  • Do not have lotion applied on your hands or body prior to class, as you will require grip friction for both pole and aerial classes.
  • For your safety, remove all necklaces, bracelets, anklets and rings for class.
  • Ensure that you have read and filled up our indemnity form, viewed our T&Cs and Health & Safety Regulations prior to your first class.

Class bookings, changes and cancellations

  • Bookings must be made in advance via the Mindbody app or by emailing us at thestudio@ecoledepole.sg. We cannot reserve a place or guarantee there is room for you in the class without payment at the studio or PayPal (4% surcharge) beforehand. If you are having any difficulties with booking, please email us so we can assist. The studio has the right to turn away anyone, with no bookings made or payment made, on the day of the class if it is full.
  • We do not offer refunds, so please check your booking before purchase. You can re-schedule your class to another session on Mind Body with at least 24 hours notice, pertaining to the Terms & Conditions for your class type. While every effort is made to ensure that your class or workshops commence as planned, the studio reserves the right to cancel or revise any course time or instructor as necessary. If a class is cancelled, students will be notified. Every effort will be made to find an alternative class in lieu of any cancelled session. Refunds may be offered in exceptional circumstances.
  • Changes or cancellations must be made via the MindBody App or via email within 24 hours prior to class. Any Late Cancellations will result in the full deduction of your class credits, and no refunds will be made. Workshops and Pole Camps cannot be cancelled online; kindly read the separate T&Cs available for these events.
  • If you are an instructor at another pole school, kindly disclose this before booking & contact the reception; a surcharge  of up to 15% may be applied per class.

Studio Etiquette

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early for class so you can get settled-in, chit-chat and get comfortable before you start.
  • Wait at the comfort of the reception area for your class to begin.
  • No outside shoes are to be worn within the studio.
  • Strictly no food and drinks within the dance studios.

OUR CLASSES:

- Pole Choreography -

You will learn a single dance choreography over the entire term (6 weeks, 1.5 hr per lesson) and will be taught important pole tricks and techniques based on your level.

We offer both static and spinning pole classes to provide our students well-rounded trainings no matter what levels they may be in.

Unsure if Pole Dancing/Fitness is for you? Come try out a mini-term (non-choreo) and you will understand why so many people have fallen in love with it!  Experience a stronger, fitter and more confident You. Suitable for both men and women.

Already proficient in pole dancing and wish to try our classes? Awesome! Kindly contact us to book a FREE level assessment appointment with one of our instructors. 

For absolute BEGINNERS (or for those whom have tried it maybe once or twice); Suitable for both men and women.

This class will introduce you to the art of pole dancing/fitness while building upper body strength, core muscles, and improving your flexibility and posture. Experience the change in just 1 term, as you achieve that new sass to the way you move and hold yourself through dance.

Learn fun and exciting tricks in a safe, guided environment. Tricks and techniques  (e.g. climbs, spins and floorwork, just to name a few) will be incorporated into different sequences and combinations each week, and pieced together to form a dance routine by the end of the term.

We recommend completing at least a term of Beginner Pole course before entering the next level: Elementary Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking any of the following classes to compliment your training: Beginner-Elementary Tricks, Flexibility, Tease etc.

Suitable for students who have completed the Beginners Pole course, or whom have got prior experience in pole dancing/fitness and want to improve techniques to gain strength for pole inversions (starting Intermediate 1).

This level will further develop your techniques for Beginner pole tricks, climbs, sits and spins, while improving your strength and dance co-ordination. Different combinations and sequences taught each week will be pieced into a dance routine by the end of the term.

We recommend completing at least a term of Elementary Pole course before entering the next level: Intermediate 1 Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking any of the following classes to compliment your training: Back to Basics, Flexibility, Whack Me, Twerk and Drop It Like Its Hot.

You would have graduated from Elementary Pole (or equivalent) and is able to competently climb the pole and perform a number of spins and pole tricks by now!
Time to go up-side down (aka pole inverts)!

Different pole climb and inversion combinations/sequences taught each week, and pieced into a dance routine by the end of the term.

You will also be taught essential strength and flexibility conditioning exercises to help you conquer the new amazing tricks learnt in this level (e.g. hang-back, cross ankle release, basic inverts and more).

We recommend completing at least a term of Intermediate 1 Pole course before entering the next level: Intermediate 2 Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking either of the following classes to compliment your training: Inter Trick Mix, Flexibility, Whack Me or our speciality Pole Art or Heels choreography classes.

Pre-requisites: completion of Intermediate 1 Pole course (or be competent with a basic invert into crucifix, basic straddle & hang-back/ cross ankle release with one knee bent).

Now you are really getting into it! Start picking up exhilarating new tricks (e.g. inside and outside leg hangs,  aerial inverts on the pole, reverse grabs and more!) and get ready to go pro!

We will start working on your stamina, fluidity, and ability to link trick combinations and sequences together beautifully.

Stretching and conditioning exercises taught in this course will focus on improving the lines and shapes your body makes (this is a visual art form after all)!

Different pole techniques and combinations taught each week will be pieced into a dance routine by the end of the term.

We recommend completing at least a term of Intermediate 2 Pole course before entering the next level: Pre-Advanced Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking either of the following classes to compliment your training: Inter Trick Mix, Pre-Adv Tricks, Flexibility, Whack Me or our speciality Pole Art or Heels choreography classes.

Pre-requisites: Intermediate 2 Pole (or equivalent); ability to aerial invert comfortably, outside and inside leg hangs, aerial Jamilla, etc.  Assessment by an instructor will be required. 

So you’ve fallen in love with the art of Pole dancing, and want to progress into an Advanced student? This course is for you!

You will be taught preparatory techniques and sequences to help you gain the ability and strength required for the Advanced level classes. Emphasis will be to further improve the execution of the Intermediate techniques you have learnt so far, as well as to pick up new power moves for the Advanced class.

Different pole techniques and combinations taught each week will be pieced into a dance routine by the end of the term.

We recommend completing at least 1-2 terms of Pre-Advanced course before entering the next level: Advanced 1 Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking either of the following classes to compliment your training: Pre-Adv Tricks, Flexibility, Whack Me or our speciality Pole Art or Heels choreography classes.

Pre-requisites: Pre- Advanced Pole (or equivalent), ability to aerial invert with straight knees,  extended Butterfly, reverse grab, and proficiency at both static and spinning poles. Assessment by an instructor will be required. 

Now you are getting serious! Welcome to the start of your Advanced Pole training. Be prepared for more challenging and complicated pole tricks and combinations.

Emphasis in your training will be on improving techniques and building strength for power moves like ayehsas, handsprings, shoulder mounts, hipholds and more!

The dance choreography that you will learn starts to get more interesting as well. Different pole techniques and combinations taught each week will be pieced into a dance routine by the end of the term.

We recommend completing at least 1-2 terms of Advanced 1 Pole course before entering the next level: Advanced 2 Pole. Your instructor will provide guidance and advice as to whether you are ready.

We also highly recommend taking either of the following classes to maintain your strength and techniques: Pre-Adv Tricks, Adv Tricks, Flexibility, Whack Me or our speciality Pole Art or Heels choreography classes.

Pre-requisites: Advanced 1 Pole + an assessment by one of our instructors. Kindly approach your instructor or the receptionist for an assessment appointment. 

Are you thinking of going Pro?

With Advanced 1 now firmly under your belt, you have the skills and strength to attempt the Advanced 2 and 3 courses! You will start training for trick combinations and power moves of the highest technical standard that will require excellent core and flexibility control. Say hello to some of the most exciting Instagram worthy tricks and combinations!

Good techniques, body awareness, and control are highly emphasised at these levels, and it is highly recommended that students  increase their weekly training schedules with Pole Jams or any of the following courses: Adv Tricks, Pro-Tricks, Flexibility, Whack Me or our speciality Pole Art or Heels choreography classes.

- Pole Tricks & Techniques -

Our tricks and techniques classes are designed to help students master difficult syllabus techniques; as well as introduce addition variations and combinations of tricks to improve the students' pole dance techniques and repertoire.

No dance routines/choreography will be taught.

These classes are suitable taken on their own, or as excellent compliments to our existing pole syllabus.

Suitable as a course on its own, or as a good supplement to your Pole Beginners or Elementary class. Emphasis is on mastering the basic foundational pole techniques and building strength. No requisites required; suitable for newbies who are interested in pole fitness, but do not want to learn a routine.

Suitable for Beginners/Elementary students/ newbies to Pole fitness.

Still trying to nail that invert up the pole, or that handstand? Or are you interested in learning more tricks and variations of a simple outside/inside leg hang? If you are, this class is for you!

Suitable for Intermediate 1-2 levels

Still trying to get into that Ayesha, or shoulder mount flawlessly? How about picking up some interesting ways of getting into an Ayesha or shoulder mount; or learn different variations of Ayeshas? What about improving your reverse grab techniques? This class will focus on techniques, strength and muscle endurance building to help your progression in Advanced 1.

Suitable for Intermediate 2 students hoping to progress into Advanced 1; or for Advanced 1 students. Advanced 1 techniques trick variations/combos will be taught in class.

So you’ve nailed your Advanced 1 class, and looking to progress into Advanced 2 and 3? Or, would you like to start learning those cool tricks and combos you’ve seen on Instagram? This class will be the one for you!

Suitable for Advanced 1 students and above. You should be strong enough to complete your Advanced 1 syllabus without difficulty in order to reap the maximum benefits of this class.

Always wanted to try those interesting moves you see on Instagram? This class is for you! Learn challenging and interesting pole combinations, sequences and tricks every week and build up your pole tricks repertoire.

Due to the high technicalities and strength requirement of this class, this is suitable only for Advanced 2 and up students. 

REAL Men pole dance! Have you seen all the latest crazes of BAR and CALISTHENICS workouts?  These guys are super strong and have awesome upper body strength – pole dance offers this very type of training using the VERTICAL BAR!

Our Pole Syllabus, and Tricks & Techniques classes are suited If you are looking for just a class to pick up pole fitness techniques and tricks (but without choreography), our Tricks & Techniques classes are just right for you.

- Specialty Classes -

The Pole is, but, an apparatus for freedom of expressions and movements.

The pole is simply an apparatus that you can create any movement with. Our signature Pole Art classes aims to provide students means to explore different types of dances, combining elements of intention, rhythm, musicality and texture, together with the artistry of pole dancing.

Basic dance techniques, innovative transitions and floorwork movements will be taught.

The format of the class may change every term; either free-style exploration and techniques to help students learn to create dynamic and creative movements around the pole; or a specific choreography will be taught.

Pre-requisites: able to pole climb and invert on pole comfortably.

Uncover the inner sexy in you! Feel good and confident in your own skin as you arouse your senses through sensual floor work and playful movements around the pole. Techniques and elements of heel work will be taught in a sizzling routine to be learnt over the term.

Heels are a requirement for this class.

Suitable to Intermediate 1 students and above.

This high energy class is guaranteed to strengthen and tone the hips, bum, thighs and abs. Get ready for a fun-filled, cardio-packed workout while werkin’ it to a bootylicious routine!

Turn a boring chair into an apparatus for dance expression and acrobatics! A fun-filled class teaching the basic elements of chair balance acrobatics, combined with a dance choreography of either burlesque, stripper, or even jazz styles.

- Conditioning Classes -

Our signature WHACK ME class is originally devised by our founder, Justine McLucas. The class involves a series of body-weight based muscle conditioning exercises, followed by cardio pumping combinations working to build overall strength and endurance.

Designed for those that want to experience a gym/HIIT workout but with the fun of pole and aerial apparatuses, and gymnastic wall bars! Be prepared to come out of class sweating, and with your muscles burning!

Emphasis will be on strength and cardio conditioning. This class is great if you are stuck in a trick you just cannot seem to master, or just looking to build your strength for pole and aerial fitness.

It’s also perfect for anyone looking to build his/her overall strength and cardio fitness in a fun environment.

ALL levels welcome.

Flexibility training is essential not just for the pole and aerial dance arts, but overall muscle and mental health. It allows for greater range of movement, improved posture,  releases muscles soreness and tensions, and reduces the risk of injuries.

Safety and attention to techniques are emphasized in our flexibility classes.

Whether you are a Pole or Aerial dance student looking to improve your splits, backbends and achieve better shape and postures; or just looking to improve your overall flexibility, this class is suitable for everyone and anyone.

Variations will be provided to cater to students of differing abilities.

Taught by Peter who is trained in calisthenics and circus arts, this is an open level class suitable for anyone trying to gain body strength, mobility, and balance through apparatuses such as Aerial Rings and Straps, as well as drills such as handstands conditioning.

- Aerial Classes -

Suitable for beginners. This is a class where we teach you the basics and foundations of the craft, as well as how to build strength for the circus apparatus of your choice.

Emphasis is on safety, foundational techniques building core strength and control.

Now that you are able to invert comfortably up the hoop/lyra or climb the silk, this class proceeds to the next level by getting you comfortable with more challenging trick sequences; while also building up your stamina and muscle endurance.

Pre-requisites: Beginners Hoop/Lyra or Silk. Able to invert comfortably. Your instructor will be able to provide an assessment or guidance. 

Things are starting to get serious now!  Get up on the top bar of the hoop/lyra, or start playing around with some drops on the silks!  Get ready for more challenging tricks and sequences, as well as beautiful trick variations and shapes.

Pre-requisites: Elementary Hoop/Lyra or Silk. Able to invert comfortably. Your instructor will be able to provide an assessment or guidance.

Our signature aerial choreography classes gets you up on the hoop/lyra or silk and dancing. Expect beautiful trick variations, exhilarating sequences and gorgeous floor work.

Pre-requisites: Intermediate Hoop/Lyra or Silk.  Your instructor will be able to provide an assessment or guidance.

We have a up to 18 poles, 4 aerial silks and 4 aerial hoops available for booking. Our poles are authentic Xpoles, in chrome and stainless steel finishes, and in 45mm or 40mm sizes.

Eat, Sleep, Pole Retreat! EDP Pole Camps run by Ecole de Pole’s founder, Justine McLucas, occurs annually in various locations globally: Barcelona, Mallorca, Poland, London, Singapore and Thailand. There are up to 2-3 camps per year, and are suitable for Intermediate-Advanced/Pro level pole dancers.

These camps include star worthy instructor line-ups, off-the-hook parties and activities to bring polers around the world a chance to train and holiday together! Packages are available to include your boyfriends/husbands/girlfriends/wives/kids and non-poler friends/family.
